The Al Jaheli Institute of Science and Technology was founded in 2008 by the government at the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to provide high quality vocational education and training and to prepare Emiratis to work effectively as part of the UAE work force.
The programs of study were defined in partnership with the local industry and a clear focus on the UAE labour market. The Education and training we deliver is based on the requirements of employers and enables students to gain practical, work-related skills in order to ensure a high quality degree.
Al Jaheli Institute is part of ADVETI which is licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education and our Certificate and Diploma programs are accredited to award Levels 4 and 5 within the Emirates Qualification Framework. Each program represents a qualification which will enable our graduates to enter technical and vocational employment as technicians and supervisors or continue their higher education studies.
Al Jaheli Institute of Science and Technology is proud to have a well-qualified and very experienced faculty to guarantee vocational education and training at an international level of excellence. Al Jaheli Institute of Science and Technology follows a practical approach with hands-on experience in well-equipped laboratories and workshops. The practical part of the training will dominate the whole program and additionally internships in relevant industries are arranged to ensure that students gain valuable skills which will enhance their career prospects.

Campus Facilities
- GYM: Gym is available all day and can be booked evenings and on holidays for staff and students.
– Equipment: Football , volley ball, badminton, basket ball
– Timing of the GYM : 8:00 am – 10:00 pm - Cafeteria: We serve healthy meals and snacks at campus Cafeteria. The Cafeteria in our Institute offers a wide selection of healthy food.
– The Cafeteria is located on ground floor in the D Block.
– Opening time 8:00 am – 7:00 pm - Vending machines for healthy food and snacks are available on campus.
- Etisalat / DU Phone Credit/ Payment machine .
- Clinic with a Female Nurse from 8:00 am – 9:00 pm daily.
- IT Service Desk to support students, staff and guests. Free WIFI is available.
- Auditorium containing 350 seats can be booked for functions
- Transportation is provided for students free of charge.
- Masjid and prayer rooms for Males and Females
Extracurricular Activities & Events
We offer extracurricular activities to enhance student learning experience while studying at the Institute. A wide range of activities are organized in line with the Students Activities Policy such as sporting teams and clubs. These activities may be organized by members of staff, faculty or students through the Student Services Department.
Special events and extracurricular activities are held at the Institutes throughout the year and these include such events as the celebration of:
- UAE National Day
- Flag Day
- Martyr’s Day
- Career Fair
- Health campaigns
- Community engagement activities and many more
We promote and celebrate student achievements; both within the Institutes and in the community, Students have the opportunity to participate in various sports and recreational activities and competitions, such as student council committee, “Khalik Wayana” initiative, student’s clubs, and representing ADVETI in different external events.
